New York Red Bulls II defender Jason Bori has been called up to the Under-17 Albania training camp, it was announced by the MLS NEXT Pro club on Tuesday. Comprised of 20 players, the national team prepares for the second round of the European Championship qualifiers for this age group. Albania will face off against Latvia (June 3) and Ukraine (June 9). Both matches will be held at Arena Egnatia. The results will affect the position of teams for the upcoming qualifiers of the 2028 UEFA U-19 Championship in Bulgaria. Receiving his first call-up with the Albanian youth national team, the 17-year-old Bori has participated in training camps organized by the Albanian Football Federation in the United States. FSHF invites Albanian talents from the U.S. and Canada to showcase their skills and scout the next generation for Kuqezinjtë, on an annual basis. Bori made his MLS NEXT Pro debut for Red Bulls II in a 3-1 victory over FC Cincinnati 2 on April 19 at MSU Soccer Park in Montclair, N.J. He was an 89th-minute substitute. Last year, the center back participated in training sessions with sister club RB Salzburg in Austria.
